MySolar, one of Ireland’s leading distributed renewable energy platforms, is pleased to announce the signing of a funding agreement with Prime Capital AG (“Prime Capital”), the Frankfurt-based alternative asset manager. The 7-year financing marks Prime Capitals first investment in Ireland and supports MySolar’s next phase of growth as it continues to expand its renewable energy platform nationwide, covering a capacity of c. 20MWp across up to 900 individual projects.
The financing will provide long-term capital to support MySolar’s growing portfolio of solar PV and battery energy storage systems, and strengthen its position as a leading provider of accessible clean energy solutions across Ireland. The partnership represents an important milestone for both organisations. For MySolar it accelerates its growth ambitions, and for Prime Capital it establishes its first footprint in the Irish market.
MySolar’s innovative Solar-as-a-Service model removes key barriers to solar adoption by eliminating upfront installation costs, replacing them with a predictable monthly fee covering installation, monitoring, and maintenance. This enables households, businesses, schools and community organisations to access clean energy without significant initial investment.
By combining affordable access to solar power with long-term asset management expertise, MySolar supports Ireland’s transition to a more sustainable and decentralised energy system – delivering cost savings to customers while advancing national decarbonisation goals.
